Maple Ridge riders won their share during a recent event in their home town.
Kaitlyn Harbour's Empire Equestrian riders were big winners at the Maple Ridge Equi Sports Center’s Dog Days of Summer Hunter Jumper show over the BC day long weekend, Aug. 2 to 4.
The riders jumped courses throughout the weekend, and were judged on their rhythm, style, form, speed and fault-free rounds over different terrains and obstacles.
Empire’s youngest rider Olivia Harbour Logan, 5, participated in the lead line division and won first place for her walk/trot riding and turnout aboard her beloved pony Copper.
Nadine McGinity and Courtship were reserve champions in hunter divisions. Brinn Chau and Rocket were champions in the .75 jumper division. Danika Sojka and Chanel No. 5 were champions in the .85 jumper division. Hannah Pringle and Modern Girl were champions in the both .90 divisions as well as fourth in the Jumper Derby.
The team is preparing for their next two competitions in September at both MREC and Thunderbird Show Park.
