A partnership between the Meadow Ridge Female Minor Hockey Association and local hockey schools is bringing a girls-only, three day hockey camp to Pitt Meadows during spring break.
The camp will be led by the Ella Matteucci, who is a former professional hockey player in the PWHPA, CWHL and an NCAA Division I national champion. It is a partnership of the RPM Hockey Company and Pacific Rim Hockey Academy, the Ridge Meadows Barracudas, and the TriCities Female Ice Hockey Association.
The three-day camp will be held at Pitt Meadows Arena from Monday, March 24 until Wednesday, March 26. The under-11 to under-13 group will go each day from 8:45 to 9: 45 a.m., and the under-15 to under-18 group will run for an hour starting at 10 a.m. each day.
The cost is $135, and it is designed to empower female athletes with training in power skating, puck control and positional play – with those being the topics on the three days.
