A Maple Ridge basketball player has beaten out every other male athlete in the province to earn the title of January’s Athlete of the Month.
Caleb Arrington of Maple Ridge Christian School was one of two athletes to earn this accolade, which is awarded by BC School Sports and BC Dairy each month to a male and female athlete who has shown leadership skills.

“Caleb is described by his peers as a dedicated, hard-working and encouraging player with a strong work ethic,” said BC School Sports.
“Serving as co-captain, he has played a crucial role in bringing his previously unranked senior basketball team on the map, where they are having one of the most successful seasons in school history.”

The MRCS Hornets boys basketball team is currently ranked third among all 1A boys basketball teams in the province.
