Through seven games this WLA season, the Maple Ridge Burrards have gone to overtime four times.
The results have been two ties, a win, and against the Coquitlam Adanacs on June 15 in Maple Ridge, a 10-9 loss.
Rhys Porteous was the Burrards' scoring leader with two goals and six points, and was named the game's second star. Garret Winter had two goals and two assists, Marcus Klarich two goals and an assist, and Dagan Carlson scored twice in his first game with the club.
The Burrards trailed the game late, but Klarich got the tying goal with just under three minutes left to send the game to overtime.
Aldergrove product James Rahe got the game winner in overtime for Coquitlam, and was the player of the game with two goals and six points.
The Adanacs are the top team in the WLA with six wins, a loss and a tie in eight games. The New Westminster Salmonbellies are sitting second, but have won all six of their games. The Victoria Shamrocks are 5-1-1 after seven.
The Burrards will be battling the Langley Thunder (3-4) for a playoff spot, and those two will clash twice in this week's action.
Ridge has a busy week. They will be at the Langley Events Centre on Wednesday to take on the Thunder, in Burnaby on Friday against the Lakers (1-7), and then Sunday they will host the Thunder at Planet Ice. Game time is 7 p.m.
