Several Maple Ridge softball stars will be headed down to Colombia at the end of March for the 2024 WBSC Americas Pan American Championship.

Softball Canada recently announced its roster for the U18 women’s national team, which included three Maple Ridge players.

CeCe Brown, Tegan Harnett, and Rylee Ruppel will be part of the 16-girl squad that will compete against women’s teams from ten other countries in the Pan American Championship.

As a member of Group B in the tournament, Team Canada will find themselves battling alongside Brazil, Cuba, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Venezuela.

If Team Canada manages to finish in the top three spots, they will advance to the Super Round and have a chance to qualify for the 2024 WBSC U18 Women’s Softball World Cup Group Stage.
