Ridge Meadows RCMP have arrested one person after an electronics store was robbed in Pitt Meadows.
Police were called to a business in the 19800 block of Lougheed Highway for a break and enter in progress at around 11:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28.
The 911 caller was able to take a photo of the suspect from a distance which they gave to police, along with a description of the person – including a specific identifying characteristic.
The male suspect was quickly located by frontline officers and RCMP Police Dog Services, said Staff Sgt. Michelle Luca.
During the arrest officers recovered the stolen electronic devices and later returned them to the business.
"We are always happy when we can report a positive outcome for a victim. The quick response of the witness and frontline members lead to the arrest and seizure of the stolen items," said Luca, noting this is an active police investigation.
"No further information is available at this time," she said.
