More than 200 marijuana plants were seized on Friday from a Maple Ridge home.
Ridge Meadows RCMP executed a search warrant on the property in the 21800-block of Dewdney Trunk Road around 8 a.m. Police gained grounds for the warrant following a report that Hydro power was being stolen by the residents.
A 28-year-old man was arrested at the house and police seized 239 marijuana plants in various stages of growth.
The man was released from police custody after the search, but he will have to appear in court on charges of cultivation of a controlled substance at a later date.
• Ridge Meadows RCMP are looking for a red 1994 Honda Civic that was stolen from the 23900 block of Abernethy Way. The theft happened between 2 p.m. and 6 a.m. Sunday. The car had B.C. licence plates 589 TFB.
