RCMP are investigating a car-jacking in Maple Ridge.

Police were called to the 12900-block of 232 Street just before 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. A female and male were forced out of their car by two male suspects, who drove off in it.

The couple were badly shaken, but not seriously injured.

Supt. Dave Walsh said investigators believe the car jacking was a random attack.

The suspect who drove off is described as a non-white man, possibly native or south Asian, and is in his 20s. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and a black hat, and had some facial hair, looking somewhat like a goatee. His partner is a white man in his 20s, with a large muscular build, and is quite tall. He has short brown hair, and was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

RCMP are still looking for the car, which is a black 2000 Mazda Protégé four-door sedan with B.C. licence plates 238 SGV.
