The streets of Pitt Meadows were busy with bicycles on Saturday, as two major cycling events toured through the city.

The Ride From Seattle to Vancouver and Party (RSVP) was put on by the Washington State-based Cascade Bicycle Club. It was the 37th year of this 300 km ride, which is one of the most popular in the region, and regularly sells out with 2,500 riders.

The other was the Tour de Fox fundraiser for the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Saturday was the Pacific Northwest leg of the five ride series, and it raised $82,000 toward a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
