Ridge Meadows RCMP are investigating a crash Tuesday, when a pickup truck hit a house.

It occurred around 1:30 p.m. The pickup truck first collided with a car, then continued on a short distance along Dewdney Trunk Road, veered to its left and went over a curbed sidewalk and into a house at Laity Street.

A 50-year-old Maple Ridge man who was driving the truck was taken to hospital by members of the B.C. Ambulance Service and received medical treatment.

Evidence to date indicate the driver has medical issues that police feel are a threat to public safety when the man is driving.  Therefore, police will be recommending that the B.C. Motor Vehicle Branch look at suspending his driving privileges.
