Five firearms seized last Thursday from home on Laurie Avenue.

RCMP swooped down on to a house on Laurie Avenue, just north of Lougheed Highway and 220th Street, on Thursday and found what they believe to be pot and heroin.

But they also discovered a mini arsenal in the house.

Five rifles were seized, including one military-style assault rifle that had a fixed bayonet.

A shot gun was among the firearms while two had scopes. Three of the weapons had been reported stolen.

Also found in the house was a set of brass knuckles, a small deringer and some cash.

Police said they found other items associated with the illegal distribution of street drugs.
