The Ridge Meadows Flames ended a three-game losing streak Saturday with a 4-3 win at home over the Abbotsford Pilots.

Andrew Strelezki scored the game-winning goal early in the third period, while Brandon Galbraith added two assists for the Flames.

The local junior B team dropped its third straight decision the night before, 3-2 to the Port Moody Panthers, also at Planet Ice.

The Flames and Panthers were tied 1-1 after the first period. However, Port Moody scored twice in the second. The Flames closed the gap with a goal in the third, but couldn't net the equalizer.

Tristan Tressel and Bradley Crompton scored for the Flames, who outshot Port Moody 38-23.

The Flames are now 10-5 and tied with the Aldergrove Kodiaks for first in the Harold Brittain Conference of the Pacific Junior Hockey League.
