A GoFundMe has been set up for the grandparents of the three young children a Maple Ridge real estate agent has left behind.

Ramina Shaw was murdered in a Coquitlam parkade on Jan. 27, just steps from where she worked, for Team Zubor and Associates with StoneHaus Realty.

The money raised will be going to the grandparents of her children to help with the cost of living raising the three kids and $10,000 will be going to Shah’s memorial.

The fundraiser was started four days ago and has so far raised $12,871 of a $50,000 goal.

A message signed by Ramina’s Loved Ones says she was a single mom of a two, four, and five-year-old.

The morning of Jan. 27, they said, she was filming a video to promote her real estate career and then she headed back to the office. Around 4:30 p.m., when she was leaving work, they said, she was attacked in the parkade. She will never be forgotten, they said.

“Anyone who met her instantly fell in love. She was full of life, had a smile that lit up any room, and a laugh that took away all of your problems. She always stuck up for what was right, and never backed down from any fight. She was a leading example as a parent and it showed as her kids love her more than anything in the world,” said Ramina’s Loved Ones.

A few weeks before Shah was killed she wrote a message on one of her Instagram accounts.

“Be careful when it comes to revenge. Negative energy is a powerful force and the more you put out in the world, the more comes back on you. If you felt like you were done wrong the best thing you can do is just take that energy and focus it on improving yourself, ” read the post.

“Because in the end, you only hurt yourself trying to hurt other people. And what a waste of energy. You could have put that towards something positive in your life. I never wish ill on anyone. Even those trying to hurt me.”

The post ended with a little white heart.

A candlelight vigil for Shah was also organized by Stonehaus Realty, the firm Shah had just started working for in December.

The organizer of the fundraiser, identified only as M S, thanked the firm for “putting together something so beautiful to remember such a beautiful soul.”

“Our girl was trying to change her life – and she had chosen the right brokerage as her work family,” read the post.
