The B.C. government unveiled three new speciality licence plate designs — including one with the Kermode bear — on Wednesday to commemorate the province's parks.

The plates, which also include designs of the snow-capped Purcell Mountains and Porteau Cove in Howe Sound, are part of the BC Parks Future Strategy.

They will be available starting Jan. 29 at Autoplan brokers for $50, with a $40 annual renewal fee.

Net proceeds will be re-invested into provincial parks.
