A 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted during a rave at a house on Harris Road in Pitt Meadows in September 2010.

A teenager who pleaded guilty to distributing photographs of a 16-year-old girl being sexually assaulted at a Pitt Meadows rave will not spend anytime in jail.

Crown is seeking a probationary sentence for the 17-year-old boy, who admitted to making and distributing obscene material at the beginning of the trial in  December.

The trial heard from only one witness before a decision was reached to proceed with the guilty plea.

The charges against the teen stem from the sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl at “Another Night in Bangkok,” a party held on a farm at 12993 Harris Rd. on Sept. 10, 2010.

At a sentencing hearing Thursday, the court heard from the teenage girl who was allegedly assaulted via a victim impact statement.

A pre-sentence report was prepared by a probation officer who recommended several conditions be imposed on the 17-year-old’s release.

He will be sentenced in February.

The teenage boy, who cannot be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was the first of three people to face charges in connection with the incident.

Crown laid one count each of making and distributing child pornography against the teen three weeks after the rave.

He pleaded guilty to a lesser offence, admitting he took photographs and a video of sexual activity between two individuals with his Blackberry and sent it to others.

The images were eventually posted by others on the social-networking site Facebook and repeatedly shared online.

The others accused in the rave case go to trial this year.

Colton Ashton McMorris, 19, will be tried on one count of sexual assault, while Dennis John Allen Warrington, 20, faces charges of making child pornography and intending to distribute it.
