Maple Ridge continues to have a few more rural sections of roadway under construction.

The one impacting the largest section of traffic is a partial road closure that is expected to last much of this month along an easterly section of Dewdney Trunk Road.

The city announced a partial road closure from Jan. 18 to Feb. 25 on Dewdney – between 230th and 240th Streets.

The work is weather dependent.

Similarly, delays can be expected as traffic continues to manouvres around a full road closure in east Maple Ridge.

Since mid-January, a section of 112th Avenue, between 246th and Lockwood Streets, has been the scene of road work.

Through until at least Feb. 28, Gemco Construction is scheduled to install sanitary infrastructure on 112 Avenue – for the North East Albion development.

Local traffic only is being permitted between 244th and 246th Streets on 112th Avenue.

The municipality also indicates that 112th Avenue (between Lockwood and 252nd Streets) and Lockwood Street will remain open to single-lane alternating traffic and minor delays.

There’s also a full road closure further east in Maple Ridge’s Whonnock area.

Since Dec. 1, and until further notice, the intersection of 280th Street and 112th Avenue is closed.
