A pedestrian was hit by a pickup just before 8 a.m. on Wednesday morning in Maple Ridge.
The woman was in a crosswalk at the corner of the Lougheed Highway and 207 Street, crossing from the south side of the highway to the north.
It appears the driver was watching traffic, and didn't see the pedestrian crossing.
The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance with injuries which were not life threatening.
The male driver was issued a ticket under the Motor Vehicle Act.
