City of Pitt Meadows is seeking public input over the rising demand for pickleball in the city.

The city will be undertaking resurfacing of the racquet courts this year at the Pitt Meadows Athletic Park. However seeing as how much demand there is for pickleball in the community, the city had opened up a survey to understand what residents need and if adding new outdoor pickleball courts would be feasible.

Last year during Summer, the city painted pickleball lines for six courts on two of the four tennis courts at Pitt Meadows Athletic Park, located along 114 Avenue, west of Bonson Road. While these were temporary to meet the demand during the summer months, the city is looking at several options for adding permanent pickleball lines and nets.

The feedback that the city will gather through the survey will help inform the decisions on what facilities and services are needed in the coming years.

The survey, which can be completed online, will run from Feb. 8 to 28 and can be found here: https://bit.ly/3sshad0.
