Occupation/education: homemaker.

Volunteer work: Special events co-ordinator for baseball; treasurer for my son’s spring hockey team; treasurer for his present hockey team; PAC chair at Pitt Meadows elementary for two years.

 

 

 

Question: Please provide an example of what you have done that qualifies you for school board.

Answer: I was the PAC chair for two years for Pitt Meadows elementary. I have directly been involved with meeting the needs and concerns of the parents, students, and community as a whole.

 

 

 

Q: Why are you running for trustee?

A: I am running for school trustee because I am passionate about our children’s education. I am and will continue to be a great advocate for the needs and concerns of our parents, students and community

 

 

 

Q: What makes you stand out from other candidates?

A: I am extremely assertive and I am not afraid to speak out for what I believe in. I am involved in our community. I am the treasurer for my son’s hockey team and the special events co-ordinator for minor baseball. I have extensive experience dealing with people and the public.

 

 

 

Q: How do you see the school district changing in the next 10 years?

A: I see the school district changing in a variety of ways – one due to budget restraints and the other due to great technological advances. In an ever-changing world, we need to prepare our students for an increasingly diversified world.

 

 

 

Q: What will be your top priority if elected to school board?

A: My top priority if elected will be to increase the development of technology in the school system so that all learning is diversified. This way the students will be able to develop the skills to collaborate, inquire and communicate their knowledge in a variety of ways.
