For Pitt Meadows mayor

• Name: Gary Paller

• Residence: Pitt Meadows for the past 16 years.

• Occupation/education: Professional firefighter, retired; special effects co-ordinator for the film industry, semi retired.

• Volunteer work: Member of the Pitt Meadows Lions Club.

Question: Please provide an example of what you have done that qualifies you for council?

Answer: The majority of my career in the film industry as a special effects co-ordinator for many low budget films to multi-million dollar productions meant  co-ordinating with all the other departments on the film set to keep the production on time and on budget.

Q: Who is funding your campaign?

A: Self-funded.

Q: What makes you stand out from other candidates?

A: My ability to work with many departments to solve critical issues and come up with a plan that will work to suit the majority and stay within the allotted budget. I would run the city much like I ran my own business for over 35 years.

Q: How do you see your city developing in the next 10 years?

A:  Ideally, out of debt,  with spending in check and a surplus on hand.

Q: What will be your top priority if elected to Pitt Meadows council?

A:   To get all of council and city staff working together on the same page; to put the taxpayers’ money to better use.
