Police are looking for a prolific car thief that failed to report to a recovery house in Surrey in December.
Ridge Meadows RCMP explained that Clayton Ken Nielsen was arrested in Maple Ridge after he was observed driving a stolen vehicle on Dec. 12 last year.
Nielsen was released on numerous conditions, one of which was to report directly to a recovery house in Surrey.
However, he never arrived and police issued an arrest warrant, but have not been able to locate him since.
Police said Nielsen has ties to Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Mission, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Langley, and Surrey, and that he could be anywhere in the Lower Mainland, Vancouver, or the Fraser Valley.
Although he is not considered dangerous to the public, police would like anyone who spots him to call 911 and not to engage directly with him.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts are asked to call police at 604-463-6251. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous can call CRIME STOPPERS at 1-800-222-8477 or leave a TIP online at www.solvecrime.ca.
