Ridge Meadows Ramblers wrestlers medalled last Friday at the Burnaby Central Wildcat Invitational.

Ivy Threatful and Norah Wilkes both won their respective weight classes. Threatful continues her undefeated season while Wilkes notches her first big win in her high school wrestling career.

Silver medals were secured by four Ramblers: Jacob McClure, Ethan Peeve, Madissyn Groff and Teegan Maschke.

McClure overcame a 9-0 deficit to win his medal – he was losing on the scoreboard in that match, but won with a pin.

Yvonne Lee made her debut on the podium with a bronze medal, and Ryan Beranek and Abby Blinko placed fourth.

Wrestling well but just off the medal hunt were newcomers Cameron McIntyre and Soleil Brooks. MRSS wrestlers next take to the mat on Saturday in Campbell River.
