Ridge convenience store robbed at knife-point

Ridge Meadows RCMP looking for suspect who used a knife to rob a local convenience store.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, a lone male walked into the C&H Market in the 22200-block of Dewdney Trunk Road. He produced a knife and demanded money. He walked out of the store after obtaining a small amount of cash, walking westbound on Dewdney Trunk Rd.

“The suspect covered his face with a scarf,” said Cpl. Winpenny.  “Police are releasing a photo showing the distinctive jacket the suspect was wearing at the time, hoping someone will recognize it and provide investigators with suspect leads.”

The suspect was wearing a bulky green winter jacket, with white and yellow trim. He also had on blue jeans and white and black running shoes.

He is described as Caucasian, 5'10" with an average build and short, dirty blond hair.
