RCMP are looking for two men, one possibly armed with a firearm, after another was threatened Wednesday near downtown Maple Ridge.

Just after 7:15 p.m., police were called to the 22000-block of Lougheed Highway, where two unknown men were seen climbing over a backyard fence. When the home’s owner confronted the men, one produced a handgun before both ran away.

No one was injured. Police are looking for suspects, both Caucasian, in their late 20s or early 30s. One has a thin build, while the other was heavier set.

All Ridge Meadows RCMP, including integrated Police Dog Services, Emergency Response Team members, and Air One conducted a thorough search of the area, said Cpl.Brenda Winpenny.

• Police ask anyone with information to call Ridge Meadows RCMP at 604-463-6251. To remain anonymous, call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or leave a tip online at www.solvecrime.ca.  CrimeStoppers will pay a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
