Maple Ridge Fire and Rescue helped a woman escape her Toyota sedan after it rolled off the road Tuesday night at about 9:45 p.m.

The single-vehicle accident happened on 232nd Street and 118th Avenue.

Firefighters had to cut away the roof to free the driver trapped inside, but once free she was able to walk, assisted by paramedics, to a waiting ambulance.

The cause of the accident remains unknown. Ridge Meadows RCMP Sgt. Brenda Gresiuk said that currently, the driving pattern isn’t known.
