Pitt Meadows firefighters shut down Bonson Road at 117B Avenue Thursday morning at about 7:20 a.m., after wires came down across one of the roads.
Firefighters had to escort pedestrians through the area to keep them away from the downed wires.
B.C. Hydro crews showed up on scene at about 8:18 a.m. and cleared the wires minutes later, reopening the road.
