HYDE - Alice Edith Cavell (nee Bean).
Aug. 23, 1916 ~ April 24, 2011. We say goodbye to our loving mother Alice, who passed away April 24th, 2011. Born August 23, 1916 in West Kildonan, Manitoba, Alice was raised and worked on a dairy farm. Moving to Maple Ridge in 1953, Alice loved to travel with her friend Claude, bowling and fishing at Francois Lake at Lynda and David's.
Alice was predeceased by her 1st husband Robert Green, 2nd husband Ernie Hyde, special friend Claude Corbett, grandson Ricky Kauppinen, and 11 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sister Eileen (Ken) Maclean; children Elizabeth (Marvin), Margaret, Bob (Joyce), Lynda (Gary), Joe (Deanna) 14 grandchildren, 24 great grand- children, 5 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Jody and all the staff at Holyrood Manor. Services will take place Sat. May 7th, 2011 at 1:00pm at Garden Hill Chapel - 11765 224th St, Maple Ridge. Viewing will take place from noon-12:50 pm. May 7th, 2011. In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
