It is with sad hearts but knowing spirits that we announce the passing of our mother Alice Jacob. Waiting for her is our father Joseph, our brother Don, and all of her family and friends who went ahead of her. Leaving to mourn her loss, but cherish her memory are her children Pat Girard, Joseph, Alice French (Chuck), Jim (Gayle), Margaret Kleinwatcher (Lloyd), Don's wife Mona, Marianne van der Pauw (John), Mike, Bruce, Dorothy McLean (Glenn), Cathy, Terry (Don), and Mark, her grandchildren Mark, Carl, David, Jeffery, Jason, Janice, Rachel, Erin, Amber, Kristina, Michael, Shannon, Christopher, Jennifer, Laura, Kevin, Erin, Sarah, and her great granddaughters Emily and Brooklyn.
Mom was born in Bellevue, Alberta as the only sister to her five brothers, she married Dad in 1944 and moved to Prince George in 1952 with her 6 children, where they successfully ran a trucking and motel business. In 1970, with the family expanded to 13 children they moved to Maple Ridge where they owned and operated two motels. Mom devoted her life to her family and was happiest when we came to visit and sat around the kitchen talking or playing cards. After their retirement, St. Pat's Bingo and the casino added to her enjoyment.
