It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Alice Jones (Granberg) nee MacNaughton.
Predeceased by her husband Archie Kenneth Jones and sister Elva Osterhout.
Leaving behind, with years of loving memories are her children Chris Granberg (Charlene), Sandra Granberg (Bernie), Lance Granberg (Peggy), Karen Green, Eric Granberg (Jennifer), Rob Jones (Lynn), Kelly Jones ( Ken), her grandchildren Danielle, Tyson, Erica, Carl (Ashley), Courtney (Collin), Bailey, Walker, Tanya, Luke and Johnny, her great-grandchildren Kennedy, Madison, Quinn, William, Fraser, Chantelle, Stasha, Chance, Elissie and Hayley, her brother Doug (Ellen) MacNaughton (Red Deer) and family, sister Islay Wise ( Red Deer) and family, as well as a large extended family of cousins!
Born in Grandora Saskatchewan. Mom loved the prairies and a good road trip! She had many stories of drives across this country. Her first husband Ben was in the Airforce, and as a result she lived in Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and BC.
She worked at Tranquil Hospital in Kamloops as a young woman, and got her LPN in 1968 while living in Ontario. The family settled in Maple Ridge in 1969 and Alice worked at Maple Ridge Hospital until retirement. Her and her second husband Ken, met while working together at the hospital and married in 1979. They continued to be there for their large family with many road trips until they were not able to drive anymore!
Mom spent the last years of her life at Baillie House where she is remembered by staff, and all of us, for her loud laugh, sense of humour, strong will, and love of fashion.
We have all been so lucky to have had you in our lives for so long.
We will all miss you Mom. Happy Travels!!!
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Maple Ridge Hospital Foundation in her name.
