It is with deep sorrow that we announce that our dearly beloved husband and father, Gus Henry passed peacefully and quietly on October 30, 2009 at McKenney Creek Hospice. Born in Aberdeen Scotland, Gus was the son of a war bride and arrived in Canada in November, 1947. He was extremely proud of his Scottish heritage, but even more proud of his Canadian Citizenship.

Gus leaves his beloved wife,

Lynda, his family, Brad & Lisa Henry, Charlene Bernardi and Beverly & Doug Agar, and grandchildren, Sheldon & Ashley Henry and JB & Lisa Agar. He was also very much loved by Lynda's family, Martin Strong, Tracy & Pierre Hildebrand, Jennifer & Greg Oleksiuk and grandchildren, Taylor Emmett-Strong, Emilie, Maxime & Madeleine Hildebrand. Gus is also survived by brothers and sisters, Sandy & Flo Henry, Monica & Mike Turchyn, Marilyn & Ron Yates, Barrie & Bev Brown, Ann Brown and Jane Brown, His mother in law , Dorthy Taylor, numerous brothers and sisters in law, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and their children, both here in Canada and in Scotland. Gus was predeceased by his first wife, Gwendolyn Joy in 1996. Many thanks to Gus & Lynda's dear friends from the Maple Ridge Legion, who have done so much over the past months and particularly, these last weeks to assist and support them through this most difficult of life's journeys. There are no words to express their appreciation and gratitude for everything all you have done, without any hesitation and often, without a request. To all the "angels" at McKenney Creek, nurses, volunteers and staff, your care, love and respect for Gus will always be a special memory for Lynda.
