Anna passed at home with grace and dignity, enveloped in the Lords love, on Sunday, July 28, 2019. Born in Switzerland in 1932, she immigrated to Canada with husband Karl in 1961. Together they bought and operated a dairy farm in Pitt Meadows and raised their five children. Anna was a devout Catholic, she gained the strength to face life's challenges through her faith in the Lord. She was a strong, hard working, and compassionate woman and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. In recent years she would often be found walking in the neighbourhood or on the farm and tending to her chickens, flower and vegetable gardens, or sitting in her rocking chair praying for family, friends and all those in need. We feel many hearts have been made brighter having known her.
Anna is predeceased by her husband Karl and survived by their children Joe, Mary (Daryl), Monica (Maciek), Susan (Peter), and Andy (Anke) and grandchildren Jesse, Amy, Katie, Sally and Robby. Many candles have been lit in Einsiedlen, Switzerland for Anna by her surviving relatives. Friends and family are invited to attend prayers on Wednesday, August 7th at 7 pm. and the Funeral Mass on Thursday, August 8th at 10:45 am, both at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 20285 Dewdney Trunk Road, Maple Ridge.
