It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Anna May Swan, at the age of 89, at her home on May 7th. Anna is survived by her loving family: husband of 57 years, Cyril; her son Dean (Linda); her daughter Lisa (Steve); as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Anna was born June 12,1929 in Scarborough, Ontario, the youngest of 5 children. She moved to BC in 1962 and met her husband-to-be shortly thereafter at a New Year's Eve party.
Anna's passion in life was caring for and helping others. She was a very active friend of Bill W's for 29 years and assisted in helping people gain control over their lives. She spent many years in Maple Ridge, but was able to spend her retirement years on Vancouver Island, the place she loved, with her husband Cyril.
