It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, Anne Marie (Waller) Sagorski in the Maple Ridge Hospital. She was predeceased by her daughter Janet in 2018. Anne Marie is survived by her son Vic, his wife Kelley, son in law Dave Briscoe and her cousin George Waller along with his wife Christina.
Mom was born in Czechoslovakia and after losing both parents when she was a young teenager, she immigrated to Canada and was adopted and raised by her Aunt Freda and her husband George in Dawson Creek, BC.
This is where Anne Marie met, and married Walter Sagorski and their son Vic was born. Later they moved to Vancouver and welcomed their daughter Janet. Mom had a long career in the dietary department in Burnaby and later Maple Ridge hospitals.
Mom was able to stay in her home and live independently thanks to the loving help and support of her son-in-law Dave. She took pride in her home and she loved tending her garden and enjoyed her weekly Bingo games at the Bingoplex in Haney.
There will no service due to covid restrictions. The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors at the Maple Ridge Hospital, the home support workers and the patience Handy Dart drivers.
Mom's faith was deep and spiritual, and she is now with Janet, surrounded by angels.
