Audrey Joyce
Audrey was born in England on March 13, 1922 and passed away peacefully on February 4, 2009. She is predeceased by her husbands, Stanley Henderson and Howard Leggitt as well as her parents, Leonard and Elsie Buckner and sister, Val. She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Clive of Edmonton and Blair (Bonnie) of Surrey as well as grandchildren, Camille (Ryaz) and Lee and great granddaughter, Keirsa. Audrey will also be missed by her companion of the last several years, Mel Olson.
Audrey came to Canada as a war bride with Stanley in 1945 and lived in Alberta until 1966 when they moved to BC. She married Howard Leggitt in 1973 and they moved to Maple Ridge where Audrey continued to reside until shortly before her death.
A Celebration of her Life will be held on February 12, 2009 at 11a.m. at the MAPLE RIDGE FUNERAL CHAPEL (Osborn’s), 11969 216th Street, Maple Ridge, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society in Audrey’s name will be greatly appreciated.
