Bernice E.M. Gehring (nee Anderson)

December 17, 1936 - November 11, 2019
A loving wife to Don, mother to Donni (Steve), Ron (Robyn), and Diane (Andrew), grandmother to Les, Shane, Dustin, Shawn, and Ryland. Bernice was proudest of her 13 great-grandchildren. Bernice embraced her local pioneer heritage, she was one of the last surviving grandchildren of John A. McIver, the first land owner, and a founding father of Maple Ridge, British Columbia. She had a love of the outdoors, her community, social activism, and especially for her extensive family and friends. An avid world traveller, she would encourage everyone to see British Columbia and Canada first. The family would like to thank the staff of Baily House for their loving care in her final days and over the past three and a half years. The sweet remembrance of the just, shall flourish when they lay in dust.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019 @ 1:00 pm at Burnett Fellowship 20639 123rd Ave., Maple Ridge BC.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
