In Loving Memory ~
Our Mom passed away peacefully at age 96 at home on September 7th, 2022.
Born in Singapore, she was one of seven children. Betty completed her nursing and midwife training in Malaysia, and had a very fulfilling career in maternal and children's public health in Singapore.
In the 1970's she immigrated to Canada, joining her sisters. Here Betty worked in various positions including as a caregiver to foster children with medical needs. Betty's love for learning never ceased, including piano lessons in her seventies, and Tai Chi in her nineties!
She loved church life, attending and hosting Bible studies, supporting various ministries, singing, travelling the world, sharing her cooking, knitting and baking, and visiting with her family and friends.
Betty is dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her two sons, their families, and her large extended family.
A celebration of Betty's life will be held at Maple Ridge Alliance Church on Friday, October 7th, at 11:00 am.
Attendees are encouraged to wear green, Betty's favourite colour.
