December 12, 2020
It is with very broken hearts we share that Beverly Brown passed away peacefully on December 12, 2020 at the age of 87 years. She is predeceased by her parents Helen (1987) and Douglas Brown (1989), her brother Doug Brown (2011), her niece Elaine Nelmes (2020), and her nephew in-law Robert Wiebe (2019).
She is survived by her sisters Sally Ansell (husband Wayne) and Alva Neff (husband Ed), nieces Cheryl, Barbara, Lisa and Laura, and nephews Kevin, Randy, Stephen and Geoff; as well as many great nieces and nephews, friends, and neighbours.
Auntie B as most knew her was the kindest, happiest and most giving. She was born in Vancouver May 20, 1933 and eventually moved to Maple Ridge where she resided her whole life. She was employed as a secretary for many years and then became an insurance adjuster.
Bev had the gentlest of hearts when it came to animals and owned many cats, dogs and horses over the years. She was involved with the Haney Horseman and helped organize and run many a horse show at the Maple Ridge Fairgrounds.
She spent many hours visiting patients and residents at Ridge Meadows Hospital with her therapy dogs Amy and then Molly. She had a keen interest in gardening and was a member of the Maple Ridge Garden Club where she and the 'Garden Bees' had many great times with good food and laughter.
There will be no service by request.
The family would like to thank Dr. Martin Milewski and the staff for the wonderful care and compassion she received over the three years she was a resident at Holyrood Manor.
