WALTERS Blanche (nee Lindberg)

It is with great sorrow that I am announcing the sudden passing of my wife and our Mum on Saturday, January 3, 2009.

Blanche was born in Wausa, Nebraska on September 3, 1923 and moved with her family to Camrose, Alberta when she was 3 years old. She lived on a farm with her Parents and Grandparents along with four brothers, Verne, Boyd, Charlie and Rod, and five sisters, Beryl, Joyce, Roxann, Carol and Margaret. She had a wonderful life and loved riding horses and helping out on the farm and told us many stories about her life.

She met our Dad when she was 13 years old and they were married seven years later on November 9, 1943. They celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary in 2008. In 1944 they moved to Victoria B.C. where Dad was stationed in the Navy during World War II. In 1947 they moved to Haney B.C. where they lived on 18th avenue (243rd St.) until moving to Fraserview Village in 1991.

Our Mum loved to sew and knit and took great pride in her work. She spent the better part of her life raising her family and loved when she got to visit her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Jack, son, Greg, daughters, Lynn (Pat) & Joan (Dave). Grandchildren, Dallas (Kristy), Curtis (Kris), Darren (Tina), Kris (Janet), Julie (Glenn) and Shaun. Great Grand children, Danielle, Brennan, Caleb, Addy, Gavin, Carsen, Eliana, Brooke, Gracie and Baby DeGroot.

We will all miss you so much. XOXOXO
