July 7, 1939 - December 25, 2020
In the early afternoon of Christmas day, Bryce Ehlert, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away at the age of 81 at his home in Maple Ridge B.C.
Bryce was born in Cardston, Alberta, Canada on the 7th day of July in the year of 1939, and is survived by his beloved sons Brett, Craig and Drew, daughter-in-laws Landrie, Andrea and Meilan, grandchildren Cody, Meggan, Justin, Amy, Tyler, and Ryan.
Bryce loved many things, including golf, hockey and politics. He was passionate about sharing his ideas of politics, discussing how to make the perfect golf swing and remained a lifelong fan of his beloved hockey team the Montreal Canadians "Go Habs".
Bryce actively worked in the warehouse management field for over three and half decades. Before his retirement he spent nine years in Ontario and then he returned to Vancouver in the mid 1980s. Bryce's dedication to work made him a respected manager and a highly valued co-worker.
His friends may have called him 'Superman', a name given to him because he once fell off a roof when trying to get his sons' toy airplanes down, but we called him 'Papa'. He was a generous and caring man who always made time to help others. Bryce always loved to laugh and joke with friends, and family. His quick wit and dad jokes always brought a smile to whomever he was with.
Although we miss you so very much, Papa, we are happy to know you have been reunited with Nanny, your beloved Enid. We are so grateful for your kindness, generosity, support of us in raising our families and the joy you brought to our lives. You will be forever in our hearts.
A celebration of life will be held July 10, 2021 - 1pm at Bryce's home, health order permitting. Please RSVP your attendance to Brett or Drew Ehlert.
