Carol Anne Sollenberger (nee Long)

March 3, 1951 – October 15, 2008

Carol Sollenberger of Big Lake, BC passed away peacefully after a brief illness with her family at her side. She is survived by her loving husband Lee, her children, Bryan Long (Jen), Gary Long (Christina), Lindsay Rowe (Jerry), Kevin Long (Ashley), grandchildren Parker and Jorja, her Dad, Mickey Keeley (Kathy), twin sister Karen Keeley, brothers Bob Keeley (Nancy), Mike Keeley (Donna), and many other loving family members. Carol was predeceased by her Mom, Peggy (Sorley) Keeley, and grandparents Harry and Alice Sorley, and Clarence and Helen Keeley.

She and Lee were married November 6, 1993. Her life long dream of living in

the Cariboo was fulfilled when they were able to make their home in Big Lake in 2005. She attended Thompson Rivers University and was honoured to be the Valedictorian at her graduation ceremony. Working for the Cariboo Regional District at a job she loved brought her great happiness and many new friendships. Carol’s first priority and her greatest joy came from her husband Lee and her large extended

family. She especially treasured the times spent with her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed, not only by her family, but by those whose lives she touched throughout her life’s journey.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Thornhill Hall 26007 – 98th Ave, Maple Ridge on Sunday November 2 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, Donations can be sent to the Cariboo Founation Hospital Trust (Echocardiogram fundraiser), Box 2562, Williams Lake B.C.,V2G 4P2
