February 24, 1957 - January 24, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carole Rocan, who left us on January 24, 2025, in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia. She was just one month shy of her 68th birthday.

Carole was born on February 24, 1957, in Saint Claude, Manitoba, where she spent her early years surrounded by the warmth of family and the charm of small-town life. In 1980, she made the move to Vancouver, embracing the West Coast with its mountains, ocean, and endless opportunities for adventure.

For many years, Carole worked as a secretary for School District 42, where she was known for her dedication, warmth, and kindness. She took great pride in her work and formed lasting connections with colleagues, students, and staff. Her calm presence and willingness to help made a difference in the lives of many.

Carole was a woman of strength, kindness, and quiet resilience. Whether she was spending time with loved ones, enjoying nature, or simply sharing a laugh, her presence brought comfort and joy to those around her. Even as Lewy Body Dementia challenged her in later years, her spirit, warmth, and love remained ever-present.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Ken Lehman, her sons, Ryan and Paul Svendsen, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will live on in the memories we hold dear.

A small celebration of Carole's life will be held at a later date for close family and friends.

Rest peacefully, Carole. You are loved and remembered always.
