LOVELESS; Catherine Alice

January 30, 1930 - March 31, 2015

In the early morning of Tuesday, March 31, Catherine slipped peacefully away, surrounded by the love of her broken hearted family. Catherine was born and raised in Princeton, BC. She was the only daughter of John & Alice Howarth. While working in Vancouver, she met Percy Loveless. They were married in 1950, living first in Princeton, Allenby, Hope & Haney, before settling in Thornhill. By 1962 their family was complete with 5 children, Janice, John, Cathy, Alison and Alan. Catherine's life was busy with family and community involvement in the local UCW (United Church Woman) group and the Thornhill Community Assoc. She also worked outside the home first at Berryland Cannery, then with Canada Post, retiring in May of 1989. Sadly, in November of that year Percy passed away. Life became even more family focused for Catherine as she became Grandma, and then Great - Grandma to a growing family. Still living "on the hill", she was a big part of all their lives. This continued in her cozy apartment after her move to Greystone Manor, in June 2012. Catherine was predeceased by her husband, Percy, five of her six brothers, (William, Raymond, David, Dennis and Ted), and her grandson Evan. She is survived by her five children and their spouses, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, her brother Mark, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews and nieces.

We have all lost our calm in a storm, our go to person.

Catherine left this world the way she lived in it, quietly, bravely and not wanting a fuss. "We Love You Mom"
