RADWAY, Charles (Chad) Alton. Passed away in McKinney Creek Hospice on Saturday, August 9th, 2014 in his 77th year. Chad, born in Smokey Lake, Alberta moved to Haney, BC in 1944 with parents Glen and Daisy Radway and his brother and sister. He attended Haney Central Elementary and Maple Ridge High School and studied at Vancouver Vocational School. Chad was a machinist with B.C. Marine/RivTow for many years.

Chad married Irene in 1970 gaining an instant family of three adult children. He and Irene operated Haney Central Cleaning in Haney Place Centre. They were active in local groups such as the Maple Ridge Merrymakers and Canadian Legion. He was predeceased by his brother Norman (Ruth) in Strathmore, Alberta. Chad leaves behind his wife Irene in Maple Ridge Senior Care Home, Rita Lui, Lorne DeBlois, Tina (Gary) Nicholson, his sister Evelyn (Fred) Kingston of Coquitlam and many nieces, nephews and step grandchildren. He lived in the Boardwalk Senior Housing Development on 116th Ave in Haney. He was loved by all who knew him and his memory will be cherished by his family and friends.
