Charn (Nano) Banns of Pitt Meadows B.C passed peacefully at home surrounded by family. She was survived by her children, Darshan, Macky, Pamela, Debbie, Vanessa, Kimberly and Sylvia. She was not simply a mother to her own children but to all of those to whom she provided wisdom, guidance, and support.
She was always surrounded by loving family, immediate and extended, her final days were no exception.
She was strong willed, outspoken yet had a natural talent to make people laugh. She loved cooking and entertaining. It brought her great joy to host gatherings large and small. She enjoyed the simple things, gardening, needlework and a good cup of chai.
She taught her children and grandchildren the value of hard work, respect, and the strength of community. She believed one should live their life with simplicity, grace and truth and she was a role model in that capacity. Her legacy lives on in the rich memories she leaves behind for everyone who knew her. Now her
once busy hands are still.
Rest easy, Nano, you have earned it.
