Clarence Martin passed away peacefully, at age 83 on April 22, 2021 in Maple Ridge B.C.
Clarence was born in Huxley, Alberta on June 15, 1937.
The Martin family relocated to Chilliwack B.C. in 1955.
In 1984 he moved to Maple Ridge, BC with his wife Joyce (Klassen).
Clarence began working for Flavelle Cedar, in Port Moody in 1957 and had a successful career as a Head Rig Sawyer until 2002 when he retired.
Once retired Clarence was busy with his garden and woodworking projects and enjoyed time at his recreational property at Black Mountain Ranch. He loved to play keno, slots, have a drink and a laugh. He was a 35 year member of the Army and Navy Air Force Veterans #379.
Clarence was a character and will always be remembered for his unique, playful sense of humour, his generous heart and his honesty.
Clarence is survived by his wife & best friend Joyce (married 45 years). Daughter Sandra MacInnes (Gene); sons Brad and Brian; and grandchildren: Travis & Nick (Yon); great grandson: Lukas (Yon); Sister Diane Toews (Harv); Brother Ed (Shirley) and many other relatives.
Predeceased by his parents Albert and Ida Martin (Mammel); older sister Irene Leischner; and younger brother Dave.
Goodbyes are not forever, they are not the end; it simply means we'll miss you until we meet again!
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Celebration of Life will not take place due to the current Covid-19 restrictions.
