Clifford Herbert "Shimmy" Fisher

February 4, 1934 - July 22, 2019
Dad was born and lived his entire life in North Bend, BC. He lived a happy life, losing the battle to cancer @ 85 years young. He had a passion for trains, (old steam & gas engines), the outdoors, family & friends, getting firewood & jamming (to music) kept him young at heart. Dad worked briefly on the CP & CN Railways, but spent most of his working years on the North Bend Aerial Ferry, now located downtown Boston Bar with picture boards & picnic tables to enjoy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Irene (nee Cade), quietly celebrated on May 30, 2019; 3 sons, Terry (Lynne), Brian, and Todd, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many relatives from mom's side of the family. Predeceased by his parents, Bert & Evelyn (nee Swift), his only sister, Bernice Thomas, who is survived by her husband Ben and 2 children.
Celebration of Life to be held Saturday, August 3rd at 12 noon, Boston Bar Community Hall. Lunch to follow. Lloyd Forman officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Family Place, Boston Bar.
