HOLDEN, Dale
May 18, 1936 – October 25, 2016
With sad hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Dale, at Ridge Meadows Hospital, on October 25, 2016. Predeceased by his dear wife, Evelyn, his brother Merv, and parents Lestor and Doneda. Dale is survived by his loving wife Sharon, his son Jeff (Michele), his daughters Wendy (Glen) and Debi (Rick) and his step-daughter Lisa (Steve). Also missing Dale are his grandsons, Jason, Jeffrey, Mason and his great granddaughter Aida.
Dale’s career with Carlton Cards spanned 35 years. His position took him and his family to Ontario, but he eventually came back to the province he loved, which was B.C. Dale has such a big heart and he was always there to help anyone in need. He loved cars, watching war movies and he was an avid history buff. He loved a good caesar. For many years, Dale and Evelyn (and in later years Sharon) would drive to Arizona during the winter months, where they would spend time with his brother Merv and his wife Rene.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful doctors and nurses at Ridge Meadows Hospital for the care of Dale during his time there. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Lung Association or to the charity of your choice.
A Celebration of life will be held on November 5, 2016 at 1:00pm, at The Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel, 11969 – 216th St. Maple Ridge.
