Maple Ridge resident, Danny Beyko passed away on Tuesday, February 2nd in the company of his beloved husband, realtor Bill Mutch of MacDonald Realty. Born in Vancouver on October 5th, 1954, Danny met his future husband in Maple Ridge in the early 1970s when he traded his job as an ironworker for a hair styling certificate and a chair at Hairasy, Bill's salon in Mission, and went on to win many styling awards. In the 80s, Danny and Bill sat for their real estate licenses and eventually both settled at Ralph and Bonnie Telep's Tri-Tel Realty, where Danny is remembered fondly as an avid tennis player who loved to laugh and make jokes. Danny later went back into hairdressing full time and opened his own successful salon, Rootz. He is survived by husband Bill and his many close friends in the community.
