LEGINUS, David Gene.
On October 23rd, 2014 our son, brother, father, husband, cousin and "Pompa", David Gene Leginus was taken from us suddenly at 55 years of age. Pre-deceased by his father Steve John Leginus, he leaves to mourn his newlywed wife Hong, his mother Annile, brother Johnny, sister Leina, daughter Shannon and grandchildren Aiden and Avery as well as other family and friends. David had many accomplishments in his life, but he enjoyed best fishing on the ocean with friends and family. An avid fisherman, he spent much of his spare time working on his project boat and learning new ways to catch 'The big one'! A hard working and dedicated man, he held his work to the 'Leginus' standard and never settled for anything less than perfect. This attention to detail and perseverance showed strongly in his craft as a Ticketed Painter, and opened his life up to many opportunities. As a grandfather, he was fueled by his grandchildren rushing into his arms every time they came to visit; with excited voices and bright faces. He spent the last while of his life happily exploring China with his new wife Hong and stepson. A memorial service will be held on November 15th at 12pm at the Garden Hill Funeral Home, 11765 224th St., Maple Ridge.
