PEAT ~ David Watson
July 23, 1922 – November 29, 2006
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 29 at the age of 84. He will be lovingly missed and always remembered by his wife Peggy of 61 years. Predeceased by his grandson Thor, Dad will be deeply missed by his children David, Margaret (Garry), Reg (Marie), Randy, Todd (Bobbi); grandchildren: Talia, Jessica, Sarah, Reggie, Candace, Randi, James, Dayton and Nicole, and great granddaughter Lexi. Dave will also be fondly remembered by other members of his family and friends.
David came from Scotland at the age of 5 and settled with family in Saskatchewan. He joined the army in 1941 and served overseas till 1945 where he met his wife Peggy in England. They married in 1945 and moved back to Canada where they settled in Moose Jaw and then moved to Maple Ridge in 1970 and resided till present.
Our family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Tong, Dr. Johnson and to all the staff of McKenney Creek Hospice for all of their compassionate care during his final days.
A gathering to honor his memory will be held at the Peat’s home located at 12411 – 202nd Street, Maple Ridge, Sunday, December 10th from 2– 4 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to McKenney Creek Hospice, #100 – 11762 Laity Street, Maple Ridge, would be appreciated.
